Eyan Ahmed

My name is Eyan Ahmed and friends call me Eya. I am a 13-year-old bodyboarder from the Maldives. I started bodyboarding in December 2019.

Over the last year, I have won the most promising bodyboarder in two competitions, the Mula Bodyboarding Challenge and the Varunulaa Groms Bodyboarding Challenge. It is one of the most extreme and versatile sports which is evolving.

I believe fitness and wellbeing are two essential aspects of bodyboarding, and I give equal importance to both. Furthermore, I would like to see all the surf breaks in the Maldives be environmentally protected so that our future generations can enjoy them. 

My dream is to compete in as many national and international competitions and gain more experience in bodyboarding.
